There are two ways to do the maintenance of extrusion machine. They are daily maintenance and periodic maintenance.

Daily maintenance is routine work, and doesn’t occupy the operational working hour. Usually, it can be finished when the car starts.
The key is to clean the opponents and lubricate every piece inside, fasten threaded fitting, check and adjust the electromotor, control
the meter and so on.

Periodic maintenance begins when the extrusion machine continuously work for 2500 to 5000 hours. Machine needs to be separated into piece for the checking, measurement and examination of the opponents’ condition. Then the ruined opponents can be changed and broken ones can be fixed.

If any accidence happens in the extrusion machines, the following instruction of maintenance is helpful.

Extrusion machine cannot be allowed to work when the container is empty so as to avoid any damage to the screw and its opponents.

If there’s any unusual sounds give out, the machine must be stopped immediately and be checked or fixed.

Metal and other materials should be avoided to fall in so as to avoid the damage to the screw and cylinder.

The production environment should be kept in cleanness, and no impure materials can drop in so as to avoid any harmful influence to the production and quality.

If the extrusion machine isn’t used for a long time, the surface of the screw, cylinder and nose should be wiped with antirust lubricant.

The temperature instrument should be checked periodically so as to check its correctness and sensibility of control.

The maintenance of reduction gear box of the extrusion machine is the same with the normal standard reduction gear box. Normal checking to the gear, axletree and others must be done. The appointed lubricant must be used. According to regulation, certain amount of gas should be injected.

Special person should be appointed to do the equipment maintenance and write down carefully the condition of maintenance every time.

All the data should be listed in the factory equipment management files.
